The project has been initiated by the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University in collaboration with the Council of Religions.

The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University (BKWSU) is an organisation which has over 8000 branches in over 130 countries. It offers people of all backgrounds an opportunity to learn meditation and deepen their understanding of universal principles and innate values through a variety of educational programmes, courses and learning resources. The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University in Mt. Abu,India, is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) in general consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and in consultative status with UNICEF. It is also affiliated to the UN Department of Public Information.

 The Council of Religions of Mauritius has amongst its objectives:

(a) To promote Inter-and-intra faith dialogue, comprehension and harmony, together with intercultural activities in Mauritius and elsewhere, as well as any activity, of any form whatsoever, aiming at favouring bridges amongst the various religious communities of the Republic of Mauritius,
(b)  To promote national unity, mainly among all stakeholders of society.

Also an Advisory Board comprising of passionate volunteers from all walks of life who share a common desire to unite people has helped tremendously to make the project materialize.
